SECR’S Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response

Still Earth Construction & Realty has dedicated resources to immediately identify and mitigate incidences in the workplace and environs as well as our project sites, which may introduce, expose or spread the COVID-19 virus to its staff and other persons. Accordingly, we have adopted a receptive approach sufficiently flexible to adapt to evolving recommendations to fight the pandemic. Specifically, to effectively address the concerns of our employees and all relevant stakeholders, we have prepared a detailed COVID- 19 response policy that guides our actions as a company.

IMPLEMENTING SAFETY MEASURES AT OUR PROJECT SITES

We have ensured that our project sites observe complete adherence to approved health and safety guidelines. Personal protective equipment has been made available to all and consequently, Project managers have adopted a “No protective gear = No work” rule for all workers on site. We have put in place basic preventive measures such as practicing social distancing, regular washing of hands and use of 60% alcohol-based sanitizers and use of face masks at all our projects sites across Nigeria.

IMPLEMENTING BASIC PREVENTION MEASURES

We are educating our employees on an ongoing routine on the preventive measures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19; supportive good hygiene practices, providing employees, customers and workplace visitors at our locations with facilities to sanitize and maintain the recommended social distance; and perform routine environmental cleaning and disinfection.

IMPLEMENTING WORKPLACE CONTROLS

Establish policies to limit the number of employees and visitors in the workplace at any given time; reconfigure office spaces to maintain proper social distancing; and provide personal protective equipment (e.g., masks, gloves and protective eye wear) and training and education on the proper use of such protective wear.

IMPLEMENTING PROCEDURES FOR PROMPT IDENTIFICATION AND ISOLATION

Conduct health screenings (e.g., body temperature screenings) as a condition to enter the workplace; encourage employees to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19; and develop policies and procedures for employees to report when they are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

GOVERNMENT ORDERS AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Complete adherence in identifying and complying with Federal, state and local orders issued in response to COVID-19.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We have renewed our commitment to CSR by extending generous financial donations within our community to support practical needs including but not limited to food or other basic provisions. In addition, we partnered with media houses to further sensitize the public via health and safety announcements on Radio. As the need arise, Still Earth will Continue to help where necessary.
